The Revolution Plaza

In the “ International Year of Astronomy ” and supported by UNIFEM ( United Nations Development fund for Woman ) for the tenth consecutive year I continue with " The end is the beginning at great heights ".Peace on the 6 Continents, making a new "call of attention" from the 6 Continents, as every January 1st of this New Century.

This year, from the American Continent, the Republic of Cuba, a country celebrating its Revolution’s 50th anniversary; a country that survives an economical blockade by The United States; a country that has developed culturally and socially, and from one of its most representative sites, " The Revolution Plaza " (considered the permanent platform of the Cuban people), I send to all humanity an altruist message in order that " doors are never closed any more “.

In an attempt to recover fundamental laws as humans, I appeal to the conscience of the inhabitants of the world, to the Chiefs of State, to the chiefs of the international organizations, to the eminent personalities and to the mass media in order that they act, once and for all, to construct a world with essential values and to open our hearts.

In representation of all Women and Children, I give voice to all of those who suffer daily and in silence the violation of their rights, I ask for gender equality without any form of discrimination, whether by race, ethnicity, age, religion, language, gender, disability, social condition, political opinion or any other condition, and invite, once  again, everyone to unit and help form the Circle of Love.  And at this precise moment when the year changes, awakening to a new year, we too must awaken all that is still pure in the human race.

For you, Women and Children  - and for all of us -  in order that our illusions never die, in order that every day is better, in order that we understand that nothing is impossible with LOVE, I make this call-of-attention from " The Revolution Plaza ", located in the Capital of Cuba: Havana (the Old City of Havana, declared by UNESCO since 1982 as part of our humanitarian patrimony).

With the celebration of the 60th Anniversary of Human Rights, together with the entire world I ask that the prision camp at Guantánamo Bay be closed, where prisoners from more than 40 countries are maintained.

And this way, as when we see the sky through a telescope,  we can contemplate the sensation of admiration and tranquility that there will be no more wars, nor deaths, nor suffering because our planet has been obtained by a Just, Peace-loving and Happy Society.

Because " Love is the base of sustentation of life " and " The end is the beginning at great heights ".Peace on the 6 Continents.
