Asian Continent: " The Dead Sea and The City of Petra " The Dead Sea

At the beginning of this year, from Jordan in the Asian Continent, I continue with the mission " The end is the beginning at great heights " making a new "call of attention", an appeal for peace and equality, by visiting one of the six continents. I began this mission on January 1, 2000, with the project  " Aconcagua 2000 "   supported by UNIFEM (United Nations Development Fund for Women) attempting to help women and children realize their dreams and to make gender equality a reality."

With this thousandth granite of salt I continue to commit to not keep quiet, to not turn my head by sending this message from one of the six continents every 1st of January  of this new century,  for those women and children who suffer daily without their rights or respect, in their homes, in hospitals, or in their loneliness... for those who cannot speak, see, hear, walk, perceive, or express...

Today on January 1, 2008, I chose two of the most representative places of the Asian Continent to send this altruistic message:  the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the surface of the Earth on dry land - 400 mdnm (1,378 ft) below sea level and the second saltiest body of water (with is its worldly reputation for its therapeutic qualities), and Petra's immortal city, which was constructed 3 centuries B.C, with 880 monuments carved by man in rust-coloured sandstone and  since June 7, 2007, is one of 7 Marvels of the Modern World and can be described as one of the most precious cultural properties of man's cultural heritage.

I return to cry out so that it awakens all that is pure in heart and to elevate my belief in Faith, Hope, and Peace, for all humanity.

I ask for gender equality, no discrimination, the recovery of laws to the conscience of all countries of the world,  to all chiefs of state, international organizations, to the eminent personalities and to the mass media so that they can all help create that that is essential - Peace - and open their hearts by becoming more conscious.

From this wonderful country - owner of the healthy waters of the world, the Dead Sea, and with the indescribable color of Petra's rocks, which according to them are lit by the sun - I invite everyone to help form the Circle of the Love and Unity with their thousandth granite of salt, representing the miles of millions of united hand in order to change the selfish and violent course of this planet as the sun changes the color of the sandstone and the imperishable appearance of the City of Petra (the nabatea legend says that the capital of its former kingdom, Petra, was constructed by the gods to inspire love in men ...).

I request not to let another 17 centuries pass, as many as  the City of Petra had lived hidden, to realize that in this New Century there does not exist Women and Children who undergo in silence the violations of their Rights.

In "The International Year of the Languages", convinced that the word Peace is the Universal desire, I return to remind them that "Love is the sustentation of life" and "The end is the beginning at great heights".
